Two Unbranded Small Asian/ Japanese/ Taiwanese or Chinese Style Dolls (1) 7″ and (1) 4″. These were purchased from the estate of a Taiwanese professor at the U of Illinois. The 7″ doll is a hard plastic material. We think the doll came from a store in Japan due to a small sales label stored with the doll. The store is Mitsukoshi. This could be the Epcot store in Japan. The doll is not branded. The paper label is not attached to the doll but will be sent with it. The dolls arms, legs and head move. The torso is solid. The doll will sit. It does not stand. We did not undress the doll. The body appears to be in good condition. The outfit does not appear to have a maker’s tag. The eyes are a dark color and are a plastic material? They do not open or close, they are set inside the dolls head. The hair is glued on and is sparse in some areas. When the doll is shook there is a rattling sound(possibly something inside the dolls body) although we are unsure what it would be. The second small 4″ doll we think has a composite head and maybe torso. The legs are a soft material. The hands are plastic ? The outfit is held by a single staple and wrapped around the doll. The facial features are painted on. The hair? is a soft black material. The top of the dolls head has a clear dot attached to it. It could be missing a hat? The 4″ dolls face has scratching, surface wear and is missing some color. Both dolls have wear from storage. The outfits have color fading and some wear. Please ask any questions before buying. We do not know the year or the time period the dolls were manufactured. We selected 1980,1980-1989. They could be newer or older. We do not know the material used to make the dolls. We try to be as accurate as possible, but we are selling these as-found. We try very hard to protect your purchase- books and other paper items get sent in plastic sleeves or bubble wrap surrounded by cardboard, other breakable items get packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or other protection to help avoid postal damage.
