This listing is for a Jupiter XO Tribune JTR-1602 professional Bb trumpet in silver plate with gold plated trim and sterling silver (all silver) leadpipe. This beautiful trumpet also includes both a round and a D-shaped main tuning slides and a case (see photos). This amazing trumpet is in very good condition except for some minor dings and scratches as well as areas of worn silver plating that are not very noticeable unless you look closely (so please zoom in on the high-resolution photos taken showing the trumpet from many angles). The imperfections are essentially aesthetic issues that don’t detract from it sounding amazing! It is fully functional with lightning fast valves and smooth first and third valve tuning slides. This trumpet has a sterling silver leadpipe, which makes it impervious to red rot and other kinds of corrosion that are typically found in brass leadpipes). Those familiar with the Jupiter brand already know that it is one of the best trumpet brands at an affordable price. The Jupiter XO pro trumpets are frequently compared to the Yamaha Xeno pro trumpets, with many musicians preferring the beautiful tone of the less expensive XO over that of the Xeno! In fact, for the price of this XO, even student trumpet players could upgrade to this professional Jupiter trumpet instead of settling for a “step-up” trumpet. This used XO will blow away any new “step-up” trumpet out there, and with a similar ball park price tag… so it’s better to buy this used pro trumpet than buying a new intermediate trumpet that would just need to be upgraded again in high school or college. With proper care and maintenance, which includes applying valve oil and slide grease on a regular basis, this trumpet will continue to sound amazing for many years to come. I recommend using valve oil every time it is played to insure its continued longevity and optimal performance. I am Joe Bolton (trombone.gallery). Since trumpet mouthpieces are available in such a broad range of various sizes and shapes, a mouthpiece is not included with this listing.
