I am selling off The remainder of My Father’s and now also My Mothers Hot Wheels Sizzlers Redlines collection and also thinning out my own collection plus cars that were never finished I’m doing myself as they have both passed away and I would love to see these go to people who care and know about these cars as our family has been passionate for these cars since the first day they were made. The funds will help the estate for lack of a better term I guess and Myself . My Father had well over 10,000 cars so it has taken a long time to liquidate . Every car in the 45 plus year collections are from 1969 to 1978(unless otherwise stated) and have been refurbished to running order,new battery etc professionally (unless otherwise stated) and looking good (unless otherwise stated). According to the SizzlerKing Website : George Soulakis,a Mattel designer developed the Sizzler cars to add to the Hot Wheels Redline cast of cars soon after the Diecast Redline cars hit the market and were a smash hit in the late 60’s only these Redlines have 1.5 volt driven motors , created by Mabuchi Motors of Japan and Then George Soulakis went to General Electric and they designed and created the batteries used to run them, enjoy : ) AUCTION IS FOR A LOT OF 3 Batteries ONLY – Some have tabs and some do not but they are not needed either way for Sizzler Cars Lot of 3 New NiMH 1/3AA Batteries For Short Chassis Cars BikesNiMH BATTERIES INFO – The NiMH Rechargeable batteries here are supposed to be good for up to 2000 recharges at peak, They are Cadmium Free which makes them enviromentally safe in fact they are so safe they do not even fall under the U.S. hazardous materials regulations and best of all they are recyclable .Under normal use these batteries are designed to never leak or rust unless physically abused or excessive over charging like charging them at a higher voltage than 1.5 volts or longer than 5 minutes at a time. According to the PRBA (The Portable Rechargeable Battery Association and the only Governing body recognized by the UN.) The 1/3 AA NiMH Battery mAh max capability is roughly between 350 and 400 and anything advertised as higher is a fantasy. These batteries are true CDC medical grade wiped down with disinfectant wipes super duper strongest ever in the real world in which only the truth counts.HERE IS SOME SIZZLERS HISTORY THE REAL SIZZLERS HISTORY ACCORDING TO SEVERAL SOURCES AND I WAS THERE TOO: Mike Grove is missed in this hobby , he was the actual 1st person to ever commercially reproduce Sizzlers parts but he never filed any patents (The correct term) because he couldn’t if he wanted to on reproduction parts like his contacts and body parts and chassis and even decals as Mattel patented them 50 years ago, but he did it all etc, in fact Mattel was going to file a suit and wound up supporting Mike Grove’s reproduction parts including supplying him with some things and still to this day is the only company Mattel has ever endorsed on Sizzlers parts after he started his buisness back in 1992.He even built his site with MS-DOS before Microsoft came out with windows 95. Back then even some would trash him for doing so claiming it was frowned upon in the hobby but the truth is , he was ahead of his time and deserves his place in Sizzlers History.He is one of only two people to ever create a printed book solely dedicated to the Sizzlers Hobby, The other was Joe Stitzel aka Sizzler Joe who was the real Founder of The Sizzlers F.A.S.T. Club back in the early 90’s. So you can ask any of the long time collectors still around and they will tell you this is the real truth.Their are many who have contributed in keeping Sizzlers alive not mentioned here and many are no longer with us like Mike Grove and my father and their used to be Joes website and Ross’s aka SizzlerKing but I know they still race them at the Sizzlers Conventions, a restorer out there who admittedly does good work and has parts for your cars but isn’t always (“softballin”) the nicest lol so I hope future generations can develop those same passions we grew up with about Hot Wheels Redline Sizzlers too as I was 7 years old when the very first Sizzlers came out and Dad had some we werent allowed to touch lol and we all had some we raced all the time . Enjoy the hobby and do what you want ,when you want to do it . Surely makin’ stuff up should be “frowned upon” lol.
