For sale a refurbished Radio Becker Europa MU . This was installed in late 1960’s , early 1970’s – see the advertising material slide (included in the sale) – in European vehicles like Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen plus Italian and English brands. This radio has an internal amplifier; the speaker connects directly on the back of the radio. You can connect 2 speakers by using a splitter or a fader. I can explain how to once you buy the radio. It has 5 station buttons (characteristics of Becker late 60’s/early 70’s) vs 6 buttons in late 70’s. It was the preferred radio for W113 but it fits very well the R107. However, if you want to be correct to the period for the R107 see my other auctions for a 6 push buttons Becker. For 230SL – you need the narrow trim radio; this one does not fit; send me a message for those models.All other vehicles look at the dashboard cut-out dimensions. Very nice design with stripes face plate and chrome accents. About Bluetooth on this Becker (not included in the sale): The designers of the time did not had an idea about Bluetooth but they were smart enough to provide a DIN plug on the back for Input/Output of the audio signal. The DIN plug on the back can be used to insert a Bluetooth adapter – not included in the sale – to stream music or for hands free communication. On the “good stuff” Bluetooth adapter: Open the white plug in the back of the radio, insert the adapter and you are done. You have to do that only once, when you install; after that every time the radio is ON the Bluetooth will be also present. If interested, see below the link to the Bluetooth adapter. This particular radio was refurbished as follows: Bulb replaced Electrolytic capacitors replaced. This is a known failure mode due to age Final transistors balanced for minimum distortion Mechanical clutch adjusted Mechanisms adjusted and Oiled Potentiometer cleaned Contacts chemically cleaned Interior cleaned Tune needle indicator was (re)painted orange in original color Functionality: Radio functions as it should on AM and FM Beautiful sound on FM. On AM there are only few stations left and signal is drowned in noise Tone adjustment (lever) works fine Mechanical radio station memory ( push/pull buttons ) works as intended Aspect: New faceplate – reproduction Original volume and tune knobs Original tone lever Original chrome trim Original name plate Included in the sale: Radio Europa MU model – mo-812 Install kit: 2 ring lugs + 1 M6 ground screw 1 page/ 2 sides Becker Advertising material – reproduction 30 day functional warranty.
