eBay Arizona Custom Grips ARMI SAN MARCO Model 1873 SINGLE ACTION ARMY STYLE REVOLVERS ~ Exclusive ~ MAGNA-TUSK™ Aged distressed ivory grips + classic checkering ~~~~~~~ two-PIECE (with SCREWHOLE) STYLE One-Piece vs. Two-Piece Grips: Many people prefer the clean lines of a grip without a screwhole (One-Piece), while others prefer the look and convenience of a Two-Piece grip (with a screw), which is easier to remove for cleaning or maintenance. Both styles were originally made by Colt in the 1800’s, and both are historically correct. Whichever style you choose really depends on the look you are after. We manufacture both styles. Note: ANY of our grips, whether ONE-PIECE OR TWO PIECE style, will interchange and work on either style of grip frame. THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE. We include, free of charge, a conversion kit which allows these two-piece grips to mount onto a one-piece style grip frame (without a grip pin). Our conversion kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and locks the grips up tight against the frame, allowing no movement. This gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of two-piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original factory condition. Grip screw, conversion kit, and full instructions with illustrations are included with each set of grips. Whichever style you choose, you are guaranteed to get the best quality grips on the market, made to last a lifetime, for your shooting pleasure and enjoyment. 10292000 What these will fit: This auction is for a set of Genuine Magna-Tusk ™ Aged Simulated Stag grips for the ARMI SAN MARCO Model 1873 Single Action Army SAA revolvers. What these will NOT fit: Please note that these grips are made to fit only the ARMI SAN MARCO revolvers, with the typical “plowhandle” shaped gripframe. The grips are around 3-1/16″ to 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your tape, ruler, or caliper. They will NOT fit anything with a Bisley, Birdshead, Thunderer or Lightning style gripframe, which use a completely different shaped gripframe from the ones shown in the photos. Additionally, they will NOT fit other makes and models of revolvers. If you have a different make of revolver, please contact us and let us know what you have, as we have grips available for many other makes and models and will be happy to direct you to the correct listing. For an additional charge, custom fitting is an option. Please contact us for further details if you are interested in custom fitting. 10312000 Arizona Custom Grips About Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag Grips: Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, a product of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our high-grade, high density ivory material designed from the beginning as a premium, high-strength grip material. Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag. It is rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials. Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is filled with premium natural compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing. In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips. 082920 About Our Aging Process: We go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory or Stag not only looks similar to, but in fact looks identical to the real thing. Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged Ivory grip unlike any other material made today. Our aged grips feature an authentic aged patina, just like the originals, with a process incorporating concentrated U.V. light (the essential aging property in natural sunlight), along with a developer/control agent that is put on the grips to carefully control U.V. absorption, in a sealed, high-oxygen environment to accelerate the natural aging process. Through this aging process, these grips become beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic details found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. As with real aged Ivory, Magna-Tusk develops a variegated patina due to its authentic grain structure, and natural aging produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends into and below the surface. Not only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating. With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original. While the quality difference is somewhat noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and handled in person.
