(Including Fret Work, Intonation, Truss Rod and Action) Some things are just made to last… The Epiphone Elite guitar was made to very high specifications. It was also built and sold exclusively in the Japanese market. That it is why it has the open book headstock that among other things, make them much more desirable than most other Epi’s. These guitars cost more than twice as much as a standard Epiphone guitar and include real Abalone and Pearl inlays, African Mahogany body and neck, great sounding Gibson PAF style pickups and American made Grover tuners. The Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Electric Guitar is an instrument that approaches custom shop perfection. The Elite series guitars are crafted with premium woods, fitted with American pickups and circuitry–even American-made toggle switches and Grover tuners–they’re made at a special factory devoted to their manufacture where they receive a high degree of hands-on luthier attention. This model upholds the Paul legacy with distinction. The Epiphone Les Paul features a bookmatched maple top on a bookmatched mahogany back and is fully American equipped. It takes a step up from the Standard with 24K gold-plated hardware, large block neck inlays, and headstock inlay. This guitar was built at the Fuji-Gen guitar factory. The same factory that made all of the Orville by Gibson and Orville guitars were used to make the Gibson/Yamano Gakki Epiphone Elite and Epiphone Elitist series. The Elitist series was discontinued in 2008, with the exception of the Casino model. This guitar is in excellent cosmetic condition with only minor signs of playwear. There are some micro dings, dents and scuffs that come with any instrument that has been previously played. It has low action with no buzzing or dead spots and is an absolute joy to play. It has been deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been leveled / dressed / polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor – a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is spot on and it plays excellent.
