1965 BF GOODRICH CHALLENGER SABRE BEACH CRUISER BICYCLE RAT ROD ORANGE DODGE BFG Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original VINTAGE (I was told this bike was bought new around 1965 but I did not see the serial number) men’s BF Goodrich Sabre “CHALLENGER” beach cruiser bicycle with 26″ wheels. I love the look of this one! If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This is my 2nd of 2 of these I have! I hope you enjoy it! *This bike has a cool mens frame and forks with original paint and decals, BFG “Challenger” head badge, (would be cool parked next to your Dodge Challenger!) unique original screen Sabre chainguard, vintage cruiser style seat, (shows obvious age) wide cruiser handlebars, matching hand grips, full fenders, vintage pedals, and more! This looks like something Fonzie would have cruised around with! (yes, they made this style in the late 50s as well) This bike was made by Cleveland Welding (CWC/Murray) in USA! *The tires are 26×1.75″. They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has white painted raised center rims front and rear with a Komet Super rear hub. (great looking combination on this bike) *This bike was leisurely used to cruise around an RV Park in Arizona! It has a cool patina and look that you cant create! *The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) *DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/4″. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/4″. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2″. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2″. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it! I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint. (has chips, scratches, etc) Has a cool patina that people love these days! The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (will look even better with time spent detailing) Both wheels have slight a wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to). Front wheel is missing a spoke. The front fender is not bolted to the fork but is held with the fender braces. (not a big deal but I like to be honest. See pics) GREAT to ride, display, etc! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price *Why not ride a bike? These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. *Sold as is simply because it is used.
